  15. Ok, I've been patient with roms from 1.04 to 1.09. But my patience stopped. I
  16. paid 1000 DEM (more than 600 US$) for it. I have a label here that says more
  17. than a modem. In fact it is a JOKE. I still can not connect to our university
  18. (US GENERAL DATACOMS), and with US Robotics I get the dreaded downward spiral
  19. every 3-5 calls.
  20. People from Zyxel have not been supportive to me, they didn't answer anything
  21. I asked on this newsgroup nor to my couple of letters I wrote. I still don't
  22. know if they will do something with the connection problem with the US General
  23. Datacom (It doesn't even handshake with it). SO I paid 600$ and got modem I
  24. can not connect to my internet providers.
  25. And now: I got Zoltrix 28.800. Yes, the one cheap Zoltrix for approx 170$. I
  26. could get 3.5 for the price of the Zyxel. There is no flash rom upgrade for
  27. Zoltrix, but it does connect to everywhere and stayes connected. So much for
  28. my quality line. I do not nned flash upgrades if the modem works. Modem is a
  29. modem first, than a luxus remote control voice machine. So I have fax and data
  30. now, no voice. But I have a RELIABLE modem.
